Life can be overwhelming at times. It can be because of life events, anxiety, grief and many other factors. There are ways to manage these feelings and build towards the life you want to lead.
I know it can be hard to acknowledge the thoughts and feelings that create these responses. I appreciate the courage it takes to trust someone enough to say these feelings out loud and work towards changing them. I will honor your trust and build an environment that fosters change. Are you ready to embrace the possibilities?
My approach to therapy is a mix of different approaches to address your goals. My main approach is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. This is identifying thought patterns that are not helpful or accurate and figuring out ways to take the damaging emotional charge out of them or Reframing. I also help client's understand patterns they are engaged in and where these originate.
Therapy is designed to work to meet an individual's goals. People have different needs from their therapist. I find it breaks down into general categories to meet people's different needs.
Therapy lasts as long as you want it to. And the goals may change over time. Good therapy is driven by the client's needs and goals. You are not expected to never change, (so take the pressure off yourself).... After all that is the goal of therapy.
You can call and schedule an intake. An intake is where I gather a lot of information and we set your goals.
Or if you are not quite sure yet, you can schedule a 15 minute phone conversation to see if I am the right fit for you.
